Backwards in the roller coaster. In search of the next kick. Up it goes, steep uphill, and you know what happens next, yet the drop surprises you. Free fall, then through the water, sharp bends, beautiful view - the sunglasses sit, despite the loop. With Robin's music, one never knows what's next: Deep House, Tropical with Pop and Dance Hall elements - always playing organic sounds like the Japanese koto, glockenspiel (orchestra bells), saxophone, guitar, flute, piano or the African Kalimba. As a DJ, songwriter and producer, Robin loves this variety and is always on the lookout for new sounds. What he has already achieved in his 25 years is impressive.
Robin was born and raised in the countryside of Northern Germany. At the age of 18, Robin released the first of his own songs: ‘One Day‘, which appeared on the compilation ‘about: Berlin vol: 8‘ by Universal Music. After 1 hour (!) it went to #27 in the German iTunes Electronic Charts and also into the German, Austrian and Swiss top 5. "I can still precisely remember that I checked iTunes to see how the song was doing. And then that.. "It really knocked me off my seat. Honestly, that was indescribable for me.” Meanwhile, Robin's songs are also featured in prime time TV shows.
In March 2016 Robin released his first EP ‘Tonight‘. He has gone from Deep House to Tropical House and now is using organic sounds that are rarely used in this form. The track ‘Tonight’ was a huge success for Robin and was featured on the compilation ‘about: Berlin vol: 14‘. It hit 2 million streams and charted in the Top 10 Viral Charts on Spotify in Germany, France, Spain and Argentina. In 2017 Robin collaborated with Kingsley Q and remixed his song ‘Tell It to My Face’. The two got on so well that Robin asked Kingsley to feature on his new single, ‘Come To Paradise’. The song went straight into the top 50 of the Amazon Dance & Electronic Charts.
The singles ‘Cover It Up’, ‘Believe in me‘ and ‘Back to you‘ were released in April 2018 by the dutch label Strange Fruits. Just ‘Cover It Up’ was in Apple Music Easy Listening Charts in 66 countries, top 10 in 59 and #1 in 19 countries, such as Germany, France, UK, Sweden and South Africa. ‘’This is incredible: Japan, Brazil, USA…! To imagine that my music is being heard on six continents and in the charts there is unbelievable! That’s something that makes me really proud! I would love to travel to each country to perform, get to know the culture and people better and say thank you“.
"Let You Go" is Robins latest single which features his own vocals for the very first time.
